Beautiful People- Amazing Wedding/ Noosa Wedding Photographer

What a beautiful day the perfect day for a wedding, I am telling you brides are VERY good luck!

This wedding was such an emotional wedding for everyone involved.. It was planned out so beautifully and oh my gosh the gorgeous puppy carrying the wedder's did I say AMAZING???

Thank you for having me be apart of this special day, Miss ANNIE from FUNKY PHOTOGRAPHY asked me to come along to photograph this wedding with her and what an honour it was.... Tracey arrived in the gorgeous HUMMER and Ian on a sexy HARLEY.

May i just say the congregation were mainly police and was i nervous???? ummmmm NO
(no I've done nothing wrong) hahah Tracey's dress was AMAZING and Ian scrubbed up quite nicely too.

The vows were hilarious and not a dry eye in sight (i got to hide behind my camera shhhhh)
We then preceded having some images taken on the river bed at Noosa. Gorgeous cloud cover what else could make this already perfect day even more perfect NOTHING...

Thanks to his Mummy and Daddy for booking me to capture this precious time in this new families life. I just can't get enough of this little man. The shawl around Luca was what his Mummy came home in from hospital when she was a baby so this pic is very special and what memories for this family ;D

Aww and those chubba cheeks soo cute!

I had such an amazing time and it was apparent how much in love this family is.
What a little trooper he was ~ When he got to sleep he was so well behaved and slept for me while i posed him this way and that hehe.

The Cheeky Rat

Everyone meet Jordy ~ he is our official RAT he gets into EVERYTHING he possibly can. I have even had to invest in Tupperware to keep everything from ending up ALL over the house in the early hours of the morning, fridge locks, cupboard locks you name it and he works out how to break the locks.. let me tell you he is the RATS of RATS..

S and J Currimundi wedding Part 1

What a beautiful intimate family (the couples family had traveled from England ) wedding this was soo soo relaxed which is such a refreshing atmosphere.. I was kindly asked by Annie from funky photography to join her in documenting S and J's Day. Thanks Annie I had fun!

I was thrilled at the opportunity Annie is just such a gorgeous person... if you have had her in your world you would know what i mean ;) we were under instructions "no posing" so these images are captures of how the day panned out and I love them ;-0)

we have a location shoot this coming week of the couple so stay tuned for those as the couple are spending the short time their family are in Australia with them. Oh and their babies are GORGEOUS just like them xx

I found this blog about a month ago and have been checking in every few days I came across this on the blog plus another photographer college has been sharing their blog love ;-)

This amazing blog is called ( The Savvy Photographer) it is filled with total inspiration last week i saw one of my faves Mika Beth she is soo amazing full of inspiration this is just 1 of many talented inspirational photographers blogged this blog is awesome for myself as a photographer but also for My clients as it inspires me which improves my work and ruffles up my artistic vision which is fabulous for my clients ;-)

Why does custom photography cost more?

Well I thought it was about time I put a sequence of 1 image together so you can all see a before and after product! so you can see a lot of time and effort goes into creating your very own custom images and they just don't happen.

I get a lot of enquires about purchasing images on disc. A client will call me and say look i don't want much I ONLY want the disc.

That is where most misunderstand, that JUST THE DISC is EVERYTHING its the copyright, its my income , its my time, its my travel to you its at the studio editing...

However I am happy to sell the disc for a small additional cost once a minimum print/product purchase has been made my minimum purchase for this is $500.

I came across this article and it just explains what we do so well.

Why Does Custom Photography Cost More?
February 27th, 2008

The digital revolution has brought amazing flexibility and ability to control various factors during the image taking and making process. Photographers, the hobbyist, the professional, the amateur all benefit from this ability to manipulate pixels. However, with flexibility comes a price. Digital camera equipment is still considerably more expensive when you factor in its’ lifespan, the need for additional resources for processing those images, the time it takes to get a usable image and the effort that goes into creating a work of photographic art.

We all know that you can go to the local Walgreen’s and pay a $1.99 for a print - as a client you may wonder why you may pay upwards of $50, $70, $90 for a custom photography print. Photographers hear this statement every once in awhile:
“How in the world can you charge $60 for an 8×10 if it costs me less than $2 to print at x store?”
The truth of the matter is the answer to this question is multifaceted. Much of the cost of a photographic print produced by a professional photographer has a lot to do with the time, equipment costs, artistic vision and reputation of the photographer not to mention expertise and the usual costs of running a legitimate business.

The cost of TIME
Approaching it from a time standpoint, let’s imagine that you have hired a photographer who has work that you love. This photographer is traveling an hour to your destination to photograph your session. Here is an example of a time break down:

session prep time
(30 mins - 1 hour, includes equipment and back up equipment checks + vehicle checks)
one hour travel time TO session
15-30 minutes prep time at client’s home
90 minutes-2 hours with client photographing subject
one hour travel time FROM session
30-45 minutes uploading time from digital cards from camera to computer
30-45 minutes time spent backing up the original images
2-5 hours editing time to present you with a diverse gallery of edited images
1 hour prep time getting ready for ordering
2-3 hours time with client for ordering images
1 hour sorting through and checking order
30 minutes-1 hour prep time for delivery
30 minutes-1 hour getting order shipped

any additional phone time or time needed for add on ordering, shipment issues, quality issues
In this example, the time spent per client can range from just under 13 hours to 19 hours - dependent on the photographer’s level of service.

This is time dedicated only to ONE session. When the photographer charges $150-$300 for the photo shoot (aka SESSION FEE) you are not just paying for the two hours of session time, you are paying the photographer for 12-19 hours complete time for your session.The COSTS of

Maintaining a Custom Photography Business:
Regarding equipment costs, a good quality professional camera with a selection of good optical quality lenses and digital storage mediums and computer set up can run from $10,000-$30,000 costs dependent on the photographer. Even though you can purchase a really good quality digital SLR for about $2100 there are still other costs related to photography. A good lens for portrait photography can run from $900 to $2500. A dependable computer system with software loaded for business and creative usage can run $2500 to $8000 dependent on the photographer.

Then come lab costs for specialty products. A good photographer knows the lab is integral to their success. Photography labs dedicated to the professional photographer often cost more and offer a range of products that allows the custom photographer to continually offer new, innovative products for you, the discerning client.

Discussion other costs of running a photography business could take awhile so we’ll skip many of the intricate details. There is of course much more: including costs of running the business, taxes, studio rental/mortgage if the photographer has ownership of a dedicated studio, vehicular costs, costs of advertising/marketing, costs of sample pieces that the photographer will likely bring to your session, etc.

APPLES to ORANGES to BANANAS:
Often times clients will mention to their photographer that X studio in the mall/department store only charges $19.99 for an 8×10 “sheet” or they may mention other things related to discount photography chains.
The fact is those discount chains make their money on volume, not on customized 1:1 service. In February 2007 leased photography retail space by a rather well known discount department store that started in Arkansas closed down 500 of their portrait studios across the nation?

The reason is simple, you cannot make money on 99¢ “professional” prints if you do not sell enough of them. Interestingly enough - those same studios that offer the loss leader packages often charge much much more for their a la carte pricing (as high as $40-50 for an 8×10).

The whole reason the big department stores began offering portrait services in the first place was to get you, the savvy consumer, in through their door so that you could spend more money with them in other departments. Your “PORTRAITS” are considered the “loss leader”.

Going to a chain studio, as a consumer, you don’t have the benefit of 1:1 attention for 2 hours at your home where your child is allowed to explore, play and be comfortable in their home environment, nor do you get the experience that many custom photographers are known for or the lovely captures of natural expressions.

You simply get a bare bones, “SAY CHEESE” experience. Keep this in mind when selecting a photographer.

REPUTATION/EXPERTISE of the PHOTOGRAPHER:
Being in demand, being well known for quality work, having a good reputation often costs time on the photographer’s part. Their expertise comes at a cost, their time learning their craft and learning the intricacies of lighting and the commitment put forth on their end to create a persona about their business that oozes professionalism.

A great number of photographers go a very long time from the time that they purchase their first good camera to making money at the business of photography. Many photographers, when first starting out, rush in thinking that the business will be easily profitable in no time, how expensive could it be to get a camera and use it to create their dream? They often neglect to factor in the cost of business, the cost of equipment, software, back ups, etc..

Being of sound reputation, a better professional photographer knows that they must always reinvest in their business to create the reputation of being top notch. To create good work good equipment, reliable equipment, back up equipment is a necessity. The photographer who desires to be known as better/best/unparalelled reputation-wise knows that the most important thing they can do for their business is reliability and dependability. This is how reputations get built. Good work often is a wonderful side product of building that good reputation.

I hope this (lengthy) article helps shed some light on WHY a custom photographer is a better choice for your family’s memories. The photographs that are produced as a result of the professionalism and dedication that your photographer has will be cherished for a lifetime (or more) and great thought and consideration should be placed into hiring who is right for your family’s most precious investment.

The New "Thing"

I put this free application on the phone called NOVA its a live stream of a few radio stations with less adds and more funky tunes.. well I gave my boys a listen too and they LOVED it. I could not miss this opportunity to take a few photos of my bubbas..

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Mr and Mrs M and their little men what cuties
{all of them}!

I met the M family down at shorncliffe and we did our shoot there, we got some gorgeous shots down by the rocks on the sand , in the park, on the peir you name it I think i have it hahaa ~

well she has had the baby yay!!! and i got to take pics my favorite past time lol.. oh and have loads of cuddles.. well let me just say this shoot did not go as planned and it took 2 days of going there to hope the little bugger would sleep, that deep sleep well that never happened. so im not too happy about that, but hopefully i got something she will love, ..anyway with no further adue here i am proud to introduce BABY Hudson. 7 days old 6lb 7oz

Sorry It's been soo long between blogging's i have been snowed under with life. Good news however My little man is well on his toilet training days so I'm quite happy with that ;-) So anyway back to photography....

These 2 love birds are friends of mine and arn't they cute Rach and Greg have been married for 7 yrs and when I asked Rach If she would be interested in a bridal shoot for my portfolio she was more than wrapped and well as for Greg she said he would just have to haah well i do have to congratulate Greg he was totally obliging to do everything i suggested and was quite photogenic soo thanks Greg ;-)

And Rach fitting in your wedding dress 7 yrs later and 2 gorgeous girls later wow a testament to us all darling :-)

Remember this cute little FAMILY!
Yesterday our friends Bec and Kal tied the knot at La Balsa Park at Kawana... It was such a gorgeous day. Bec was absolutly stunning, The reception was followed at the lovley

La Bella Roma Restarant in Maroochydore.. (oh my goodness they have stunning furniture)

I wasnt the photographer for the wedding but was more than happy to take some shots which Bec and Kal have kindly let me use for my portfolio.;-) Thanks Guys!

Oh and how did I for get to mention Luca was the cutest little page boy EVA. He had squeeky shoes walking down the isle awwww completely adorable! Bec's mum helped Bec get ready at the Sebel penthouse in Maroochydore a gorgeous room unfortunately it was blowing a Gail on the 13th floor lol so we stayed inside ;-) Bec arrived in a stretch Limousine- Bec's dad gave her away - he was proud as punch!

Well I took Locky (my eldest) for his own special photo shoot just Locky & mummy! He's very excited that grandma will see him on the window he LOVES that shot he sees it on the pc and jumps up and down look mummy that's me and my umbrella and my big boy toy Melman!! Yes Melman is a very significant friend he is only to be played with by Locky but he doesn't like whining so he runs away when there is any whining lol so he is very very special!

He was taken to day-care last week to be shown at show and tell & that he is a very big boy and grows "bigger bigger bigger" lol so everyone was so excited about Melman!

Been playing with some textures i think it suits the mood here ;-) we will be doing another shoot at 30 weeks and 37 weeks I cant wait for that.. Oh then the NEWBORN aww Jess wants to do all the shots for that so he/she will be my experimental on all shots bub ahahahah (poor child) lol

Yesterday I took My hubby Dave down to our local train station and i got to finally shoot him hahahahahahahah ---- we had a photo shoot as I have been begging him for 3 months to do one lol so what better time then on his holidays the kids are at day care and we are all by our selves with no distractions lol..

Then it decides to rain lol but we are adventurous so that did not stop s in the least.. so as you can tell he is totally fine and all is well no blood at all rest assured lol

This first shot is the winning shot {the one hubby likes the best} its already been printed lol... the seat was wet but i told him to sit on it anyways and he was winging about it but now he is SO pleased that he did hahaha i love that feeling when i get to say {i told you SO} which is not often at all lol anyways here is just a few lol there are heaps i haven't been able to even look at half of them time time time lol.....

Chrissy 08 {WITH US}

What a Year it has been and I have a feeling that 2009 is going to get BIGGER..
Well for Chrissy day we went to my dads in Brisbane had breakfast with mum and dad let the kids do the whole present thing.. have a swim had a rest and went to my uncles in the Arvie so it was a full day.. Here I have attached some pics from the morning most were at 6.30-7am so I don't usually wake up till at least 9 well I'm usually physically awake at 6 but not mentally lol so if they are a little off I was properly having a little kip lol..

We went to my friend Brookes place on Thursday and we put together the waterslide and let the kids loose here are some shots from the day it was a stinker hot day so they were so happy to get out there and get wet. They just could not wait and were not too happy when we had to leave but hey you can't stay out there forever especially when we have these strict water restrictions so needless to say my 2 were not happy with our government on Thursday lol.. They are over it now hahaha.. And Savanah had a ball too. It even looks like fun I recon ;-)

This is a very special baby and we will be following little bubba up with a newborn shoot :-) I cant wait yay, this session was really really fun we went to Coolum Beach and just had a play around in the surf/sand :-) and little Riley is one excited brother to be :-)

We went down to Quota park at Nambour and used the park bench its just lovely there we got some really nice shots. Thanks heaps Mrs S... Hope you enjoy these shots.. Mrs S has been told she is having a little girl aww she is 37 weeks pregnant and has 3 boys at home so to say she is still not sure well it wont be long now- and I cant wait to capture her precious newborn days with you :-)

OK these have taken me all day but can I say so myself I think these images are gorgeous... I have to thanks my beautiful assistant SueB you were an amazing support for me thank you!! Well tonight what a gorgeous sunset it was. I took Locky outside and we took some magnificent photos of the sunset over looking our unit apartment block. I thought i' share one with you..Well what has been or is happening. Miss B Part 1

Hello my fellow Blogger Readers...
Well Isn't my job the greatest... I love every second! ;-) Miss B approached me and asked me if I would do some shots for her upcoming portfolio as she would love to get into modeling I was so excited but Oh My Gosh I was nervous as this is something I have never attempted give me a roaming toddler any day that is my comfort zone lol.. So I did a shoot with Miss B (Isn't she just gorgeous) and to my surprise I am pretty happy with the results . Miss B Is over the moon, so that is all that matters haha.. We are going to do some more wide angle shots when I get my new lens which should be this week I'm so excited about that..

Keep your eyes peeled, There is an upcoming maternity session next week and you never know what other surprises I may have for you.. You never know you will have to keep watch ;-)

Jordy's 2nd birthday came around last weekend and he got Theo the bear as one of his pressies I think that Theo is totally gorgeous and he ends up in some strange places I managed to capture some of his moments and places... I hope you enjoy this little template set just as much as we do ;-)

Coolum Kite Festival

well yesterday we went to the kite festival with our friends Brooke , Glen and the cutie Savannah... It wasn't a very nice day it was raining before we got there but luckily it dried up to just a drizzle.. Thus Locky with the umbrella on the beach ha ha..

Locky and Savannah make such a cute couple don't you think haha well Brooke and I do lol.. we were walking up the beach at the kite festival and we turned around and the happy little couple were holding hands aww cute so I had to take some pics way too cute to miss :-)

Well It was such a gorgeous weekend! My Gorgeous sister and her handsome husband
(dare I say it lol...) came down to the sunshine coast to visit myself and the boys so what eles to do but go to the beach :-) I took the pair to my favorite Field he he they wanted to test them out and the boys in the pictures well they are mine ha ha in a couple of the pictures in the Fields where Darlene is laughing she asked me what I wanted them to do- i was just getting the camera out and she started laughing cas i looked professional hhaha gee thanks Darl lol and Simon says to her you realise shes snapping already I said of cause we have to capture the real you hehe

I went over to my friend Jessie's place yesterday and we did a beautiful shoot it was not a very nice day so we couldn't go out to where we wanted to go ,so we were stuck indoors the pics turned out wonderfully.. Jess is so photogenic we were doing pre pregnancy photos as Jess and her husband are trying for a baby this month yay you have waited soooooooooooo long Jess but the anticipation for this was all worth it.. So keep an eye out because we will be following Jess and her husband Danny in their journey into parent hood I cant wait I'm soo excited for these 2 they are my favourite couple heheh Its also Jess and Danny's 1st Wedding anniversary so Danny we hope you like Jess's pics I do hehe look forward to taking your couple photos too fingers crossed for you for this month I can hear the sound of pitter patter already!!
